Meet The Team
Chief Executive Officer
Tom is a highly-recognized entrepreneur in the high technology industry. Previously, Tom served as CMO at Clique Intelligence, and CEO for BurstPoint Networks where he was recognized as one of the 25 Most Innovative Executives Of 2010 by CRN Magazine. Prior to BurstPoint, he was vice president of worldwide marketing and business development in Hewlett-Packard’s ProCurve division, which he joined as part of the acquisition of Colubris Networks.
In addition, he led marketing and business development at Chantry Networks (acquired by Siemens), and was founder of iQ NetSolutions. Tom has also held key executive positions at KPMG; Digital Equipment Corporation; Avid Technology; Proteon; and Prime Computer.
He holds a B.S. from Northeastern University in Computer Sciences and a B.S. in Management Information Systems.
Raymond Lau, PhD
Chief Technology Officer
Raymond Lau has been leading entrepreneurial technology efforts for over two decades. Prior to joining RAMP, he was a senior technology lead for IBM’s Content Discovery Services group, which acquired iPhrase Technologies, Inc., a company Ray co-founded. iPhrase was a provider of high value enterprise search solutions to Fortune 1000 customers including Charles Schwab, Staples and CA. Some of Ray’s other entrepreneurial efforts include Handango, a leading distributor of software for mobile devices and StuffIt, the data archival standard on MacOS from 1987 onwards. Dr. Lau received his S.B., S.M. and Ph.D., all in computer science, from MIT. His doctoral work was in the area of syllable modeling for voice recognition.
Vice President, Product and Operations
Stephen Blankenship is a Silicon Valley veteran with more than 20 years experience working in technology leadership roles including operations management, solutions & sales engineering, professional services management and product management.
Prior to Ramp, Blankenship spent almost 15 years in various senior management roles at Kontiki, a cloud-based enterprise video apps provider, where he helped grow the customer base tenfold and implemented more than 1 million enterprise seats throughout the Fortune 500. In addition to Kontiki, Blankenship has held technology leadership roles at Responsys (now Oracle Responsys), Baan (now Infor Global Systems) and Acer America Corporation.
Blankenship has an associate’s degree from De Anza College and spent four years in the U.S. Army, where he served with the 101st Airborne Division in Operation Desert Storm.
