Aragon Research recently released their Aragon Research Globe™ for Enterprise Video 2019, and Ramp is once again positioned as a Specialist in this highly-regarded market evaluation.
The Globe covers technology providers across the industry, and according the report, “will help clients differentiate the many vendors that offer enterprises tools to manage and deliver all forms of video and rich interactive content.”1
Aragon analyzes each vendor using three dimensions that enable comparative evaluation of the participants in a given market. The three dimensions are described in the Globe as follows:
- Strategy reflects the degree to which a vendor has the market understanding and strategic intent that are at the forefront of market direction.
- Performance represents a vendor’s effectiveness in executing its defined strategy.
- Reach is a measure of the global capability that a vendor can deliver.
Ramp was the only pure-play enterprise content delivery network (eCDN) provider identified in the Globe. By definition in the report: Specialists fulfill their strategy well but have a narrower or more targeted emphasis with regard to overall industry and user expectations. Specialists may excel in a certain market or vertical application.
The Globe notes a variety of Ramp’s strengths and describes Ramp as “well positioned in enterprise video as a key eCDN supplier and natural companion for the platforms offered by the other providers featured in the Globe.”1 Many of the providers evaluated in the Globe are part of Ramp’s partner ecosystem and have integrated their platforms with our software solutions.
Ramp solves network congestion created by live and on-demand video streaming. Using multicasting and intelligent video caching software, our eCDN solutions, AltitudeCDN™, efficiently, reliably and securely optimize video distribution behind the firewall to save network capacity, protect business-critical operations, and deliver the best quality viewer experience.
