Ian Mackey

Ramp AR just works. No manual reconciliation, and every invoice status is accurate. Before Ramp, one late payment could mean 20 or 30 emails.

- Ian Mackey, Vice President at SciComm Media

Roee Ben-Zur

97% of our payments go through Ramp. Now we get to do the same with revenue. We would not have been able to thrive with one person doing all this, if not for Ramp.

- Roee Ben-Zur, VP of Operations at Matia

Isaac Wong

We can preschedule invoices and automate revenue recognition instead of tracking it in Excel and having bookkeepers prepare recognition schedules each month.

FAQs

We admire the dedication. But there are better places to use your investigative skills than searching contracts, emails, and bank deposits for the story behind a payment. Ramp AR brings it together, so you can spend less time tracking clues and more time deciding what to do next.

Ramp Accounts Receivable is AR automation software that gives finance teams one place to create and send invoices, follow up on unpaid balances, match incoming payments to open invoices, and keep accounting records current. It brings the work of getting paid into the same platform your team uses to manage spend, payables, and banking.

Instead of moving between contracts, inboxes, bank deposits, and your accounting system, your finance team can manage each invoice from draft through payment in Ramp.

Ramp AR uses three AI agents to handle the manual work between an agreement and a matched payment:

  • Invoice creation: Upload a contract, purchase order, or order form. Ramp pulls out the billing details and creates a draft invoice for your team to review before sending.
  • Automated collections follow-up: Set your collection rules, including when to follow up and how the message should sound. Ramp uses the invoice status and customer-response history to prepare the next message. Your team reviews, edits if needed, and sends every email.
  • AI cash application: When payment arrives, Ramp identifies the matching open invoice and applies the payment, so your team doesn't have to search bank deposits and update invoice records by hand.

Together, these agents replace the repetitive work of re-entering deal terms, writing follow-ups, and investigating which customer payment belongs to which invoice.

Setting up Ramp Accounts Receivable only takes a few minutes! First, open the Receivables tab in Ramp and select Get started. A Business Owner, Admin, or Finance Admin can connect QuickBooks Online or NetSuite, then choose which customers, products and services, and open invoices to import.

Next, select the payment methods you want to offer, add your invoice logo and memo, and confirm where invoice and payment activity should post in QuickBooks Online/NetSuite. Once setup is complete, upload a contract or purchase order, review the draft invoice, and send it to your customers.

Yes. Ramp AR currently connects with QuickBooks Online and NetSuite. During setup, you can import customers, products and services, and open invoices from your accounting system. As you create invoices and apply payments in Ramp, that activity syncs one way back to QBO/NetSuite.

Other ERP connections will be available soon.

Not currently. Ramp AR does not yet sync directly with CRM systems such as Salesforce or HubSpot.

To create an invoice, upload the source documents you already have, such as a signed contract, purchase order, or order form. Ramp uses those details to prepare a draft for your team to check before sending.

Ramp AR includes a free tier for businesses that need to create and send invoices, accept payments, follow up on overdue balances, and apply incoming payments to open invoices. The free tier includes the invoice-creation, collections, and cash-application agents, plus accounting sync for supported workflows.

For businesses with more advanced billing needs, the Receivables add-on includes subscription billing and metering, automated revenue recognition, and tax integrations. For customers with multi-entity or multi-currency businesses, Ramp Plus is required.

Payment fees vary by method. Manual payments, including ACH credit and check, are free. ACH debit payments deposited into a Ramp Business Account are free; ACH debit payments deposited into a linked external bank account cost 0.8%, capped at $5 per transaction. For card payments, connect your Stripe account and pay Stripe’s standard processing rates.

Ramp AR is currently not available as a standalone product. You do not need to use every Ramp product to manage receivables, but Ramp AR is designed to work alongside the finance workflows you already run in Ramp.

Yes, Ramp AR currently supports simple, one-off invoices, as well as recurring billing schedules and revenue recognition.

Yes. When you connect QuickBooks Online or NetSuite during setup, choose whether to import customers, products and services, and open invoices. Customers and products are selected by default, so you can begin creating invoices without rebuilding your records by hand.

Ramp AR can also bring in eligible open invoices, giving your team a view of outstanding balances alongside the invoices you create in Ramp.

You choose which payment methods to offer during setup. Customers can pay by credit card, ACH debit, ACH credit, or check, based on the methods you turn on.

No, never. Ramp prepares follow-up based on the policy your Finance team sets, but Finance always reviews, edits if needed, and sends each customer message.

Traditional AR software gives your team a place to store invoices, track statuses, and log payments, but the work still falls on your team. Someone still re-enters deal terms, writes every follow-up, and cross-references bank deposits to figure out which payment goes where.

AR automation automates the invoice-to-cash process instead of just organizing it. This includes drafting invoices from source documents, preparing follow-ups based on your collection rules, and matching incoming payments to open invoices automatically.
