Ramp Checking Account

The Checking Account is a deposit account offered through First Internet Bank of Indiana, Member FDIC. Ramp is not a bank, and bank deposit services are provided by First Internet Bank.

When you open a Ramp Checking Account, you are opening a deposit account at First Internet Bank.

Upon opening a Ramp Checking Account, you will start receiving Annual Percentage Yield (APY) on eligible funds in your Ramp Checking Account. Interest is paid by First Internet Bank of Indiana, Member FDIC. The interest rate and APY are variable and subject to change without notice.

See Section A(4) of the Bank Agreement for more information. Interest is disbursed automatically each month in your Ramp Checking Account.

No! There is no minimum balance requirement, no account opening fee, and no fees required to maintain the Checking Account. There are also no transfer caps or transaction limits.

Yes – deposits in a Ramp Checking Account receive FDIC insurance up to tens of millions of dollars per depositor.

Customers with a Ramp Checking Account can use the ICS service provided by IntraFi Network LLC. Ramp is a financial technology company, not an FDIC-insured depository institution. Banking services are provided by First Internet Bank, member FDIC.

Subject to the terms of the applicable ICS Deposit Placement Agreement, First Internet Bank will place deposits at FDIC-insured institutions through IntraFi's ICS service. A list identifying IntraFi network banks appears at https://www.intrafi.com/network-banks.

Certain conditions must be satisfied for "pass-through" FDIC deposit insurance coverage to apply. To meet the conditions for pass-through FDIC deposit insurance, deposit accounts at FDIC-insured banks in IntraFi's network that hold deposits placed using an IntraFi service are titled, and deposit account records are maintained, in accordance with FDIC regulations for pass-through coverage.

Deposits are insured by the FDIC up to the maximum allowed by law; deposit insurance only covers deposits in the Ramp Business Deposit Account in the event of the failure of the FDIC-insured bank.

Get paid directly into your Ramp Checking Account via ACH, wire, or real-time payments. You can easily transfer funds from your linked bank accounts or receive payments from customers and services like Stripe. Payments typically settle the same day but can sometimes take up to five business days. (Transfer times may vary.)

Use your Ramp Checking Account to pay all your bills. You'll get unlimited free ACH transfers, domestic wires, and international wires when paying through Ramp Bill Pay or issuing reimbursements. Payments toward your Ramp statements settle instantly. You can also let external services debit your Ramp account directly, making it easy to fund payroll or pay vendors outside Ramp Bill Pay.

For existing Ramp customers, it takes less than a minute to open a Ramp Checking Account. Simply navigate to the "Banking" tab in Ramp, click "open a free account", and input how much money you want to deposit. Once the funds are deposited, you will begin earning and can use the funds to pay your Ramp bills.

Ramp Investment Account

Short-term strategies hold government money market funds and short-term prime mutual funds. Long-term strategies hold U.S. Treasury securities and investment grade corporate bonds. The holdings of each strategy are shown when you select it.

The Investment Account is not a deposit account and is not FDIC insured. Securities are held at Apex Clearing Corporation, a member of SIPC. SIPC covers customer assets up to $500,000, including $250,000 in cash, if the broker-dealer fails. It does not cover investment losses, and you can lose money including principal.

You can access your short-term balance as early as same-day. Withdrawals above your short-term balance may require selling securities from the long-term portion and funds are typically available in 2 business days.

Your total position must be at least $5,000. This includes initial investments and ongoing balances. If your balance falls below $5,000, securities in your Investment Account may be sold and the proceeds returned to your Ramp Checking Account, as permitted under the discretion you grant in your advisory agreement. After your initial investment of $5,000, you can invest more with a minimum deposit/withdrawal size of $50.

Time is money. Save both.
