Top SaaS vendors on Ramp (Nov 2024)

Every month, billions of dollars get processed on Ramp cards for business expenses. And every month, we share the new vendors that customers are purchasing for the first time, to give you a glimpse into emerging market trends, companies on the rise, and much more.
We love seeing new vendors appear on our top vendors list. This month it was healthcare platform Medallion.
Recently named a 2024 Top Startup by LinkedIn, Medallion provides end-to-end automation for credentialing, enrollment, and monitoring providers for healthcare networks. And all of this is AI-powered, of course, continuing the trend we’ve seen across our top vendors for months. Medallion appeared on both the lists of top vendors by new card spend and the biggest percentage change in new card spend.
Here’s a breakdown of the top new vendors for October:
By new customer count | By new card spend |
---|---|
1. OpenAI | 1. HubSpot |
And the top vendors by the percentage change in spend:
Biggest percentage change in new customer count | Biggest percentage change in new card spend |
---|---|
1. Microsoft Office / Azure | 1. Medallion |
We’ve seen OpenAI and Anthropic on our lists for a few months now, but the appearance of specialized AI tools, like Pika and Prisma Labs, tells us that companies are continuing to explore specific use cases.
Pika was one of the first AI startups to help companies create impressive videos based on a text prompt. In October, it launched an updated AI model that allows users to apply, in the words of Venture Beat, “eye-popping, physics defying special effects.” Slice a hot air balloon like a cake, squish people in your favorite meme, melt a toilet—these are just a few effects that have taken X by storm and are driving new customers to the platform.
Prisma Labs is another way that Ramp customers are injecting creative AI into their businesses. The company creates AI apps that helps customers transform photos into artwork, retouch photos in one click, tune foregrounds and backgrounds, and more.
“When our teams need something, they usually need it right away. The more time we can save doing all those tedious tasks, the more time we can dedicate to supporting our student-athletes.”
Sarah Harris
Secretary, The University of Tennessee Athletics Foundation, Inc.

“Ramp had everything we were looking for, and even things we weren't looking for. The policy aspects, that's something I never even dreamed of that a purchasing card program could handle.”
Doug Volesky
Director of Finance, City of Mount Vernon

“Switching from Brex to Ramp wasn’t just a platform swap—it was a strategic upgrade that aligned with our mission to be agile, efficient, and financially savvy.”
Lily Liu
CEO, Piñata

“With Ramp, everything lives in one place. You can click into a vendor and see every transaction, invoice, and contract. That didn’t exist in Zip. It’s made approvals much faster because decision-makers aren’t chasing down information—they have it all at their fingertips.”
Ryan Williams
Manager, Contract and Vendor Management, Advisor360°

“The ability to create flexible parameters, such as allowing bookings up to 25% above market rate, has been really good for us. Plus, having all the information within the same platform is really valuable.”
Caroline Hill
Assistant Controller, Sana Benefits

“More vendors are allowing for discounts now, because they’re seeing the quick payment. That started with Ramp—getting everyone paid on time. We’ll get a 1-2% discount for paying early. That doesn’t sound like a lot, but when you’re dealing with hundreds of millions of dollars, it does add up.”
James Hardy
CFO, SAM Construction Group

“We’ve simplified our workflows while improving accuracy, and we are faster in closing with the help of automation. We could not have achieved this without the solutions Ramp brought to the table.”
Kaustubh Khandelwal
VP of Finance, Poshmark

“I was shocked at how easy it was to set up Ramp and get our end users to adopt it. Our prior procurement platform took six months to implement, and it was a lot of labor. Ramp was so easy it was almost scary.”
Michael Natsch
Procurement Manager, AIRCO
