Announcing Ramp's Microsoft Dynamics Business Central integration

Countless businesses rely on Microsoft Dynamics Business Central to securely store their financial records. Today, we're excited to announce Ramp's integration with the platform to help accounting teams keep their data in sync and code more efficiently. With this new addition to our lineup of accounting integrations, even more businesses can now power their operations with Ramp.
Sync your data in real time
In today’s environment, it’s increasingly difficult to maintain flawless financial records. A recent Gartner study finds that increasing regulatory demands and economic volatility are intensifying their workloads and challenging even the most diligent teams.
Our integration helps accounting teams using Microsoft Dynamics Business Central automate routine tasks, so they can give their full focus to in-depth data review and analysis. They can save hours by using the integration to code transactions, bill payments, and reimbursements in Ramp — and sync them in one click to Business Central. Importing chart of accounts and dimensions into Ramp makes coding accurate and comprehensive. Ramp’s auto-coding capabilities based on predefined rules save teams even more time while still keeping data consistent.

Within Business Central, transactions and reimbursements are synced to general journals. Bills show up as unposted purchase invoices with invoice PDFs attached. Statement payments from Ramp are also synced to the Ramp statement payment journal. Any other Business Central settings won’t be affected by the integration.
Additional time-saving capabilities
Ramp’s integration has a few more features to help accounting teams in sync:
- Easy vendor onboarding: For bills, Ramp can identify and add new vendors that are not already in your Business Central instance. Created upon syncing, they’re labeled as “New” in Business Central's Vendor/Employee column.
- Simpler reimbursements: Ramp lets you easily pay back employees. Code specific employee reimbursements, or set up a default vendor, like "Ramp Reimbursement Vendor," if you’d rather not list all employees as vendors in Business Central.
Speed up your close with Ramp
Companies are embracing tech to improve accounting accuracy, as demonstrated by Gartner’s study, with some experiencing error reductions of up to 75%. Ramp's integration with Microsoft Dynamics Business Central is a winning combination to help accounting teams stay on top of ever increasing demands.

“Our previous bill pay process probably took a good 10 hours per AP batch. Now it just takes a couple of minutes between getting an invoice entered, approved, and processed.”

“The practice managers love Ramp, it allows them to keep some agency for paying practice expenses. They like that they can instantaneously attach receipts at the time of transaction, and that they can text back-and-forth with the automated system. We've gotten a lot of good feedback from users.”
Greg Finn

“The reason I've been such a super fan of Ramp is the product velocity. Not only is it incredibly beneficial to the user, it’s also something that gives me confidence in your ability to continue to pull away from other products.”

“Switching to Ramp for Bill Pay saved us not only time but also a significant amount of money. Our previous AP automation tool cost us around $40,000 per year, and it wasn’t even working properly. Ramp is far more functional, and we’re getting the benefits at a fraction of the cost.”
