Introducing Ramp reimbursements

We're excited to launch Ramp Reimbursements - the easiest way to pay back your employees for expenses that don't fit on Ramp cards. Employees can now submit out of pocket expenses for approval and get paid back directly on Ramp.

How we got here

Ramp's goal is to make every company financially fit. We started our journey by building the most advanced corporate card on the market - one that automates your expenses and accounting, and saves your company money. The feedback has been overwhelmingly positive, and the ask consistent: customers want more on Ramp.

With T&E spend down by 87%, the need for complex and expensive expense management solutions has dramatically decreased. The rise of spend management solutions like Ramp has made it easy for employees to put business expenses on corporate cards, replacing the need to pay out of pocket and hope to be reimbursed. Need to buy a standing desk for your home office? Simply request and get issued a one time virtual card with the right embedded budget.

By approving spend up front and putting spend on a single platform, finance teams stay in the know and in control. Still, some expenses can't be put on a card - like cash expenses, car depreciation, and incidentals. That's why we built Ramp Reimbursements: a lightweight solution that enables employees to submit out of pocket expenses and get paid back directly on Ramp.

Introducing Ramp Reimbursements

With Ramp, companies can now handle all of their expenses from a single powerful tool including software, advertising, inventory, travel and now out of pocket expenses. Finance teams no longer have to juggle multiple disjointed and expensive solutions, like outdated corporate card solutions (Amex, Chase) or clunky expense management solutions (Expensify, Concur). By consolidating spend on one platform, that's one less tool to pay for each employee, configure, and maintain.

Best of all, finance team enjoy all the perks of the Ramp platform, including best in class user experience, embedded controls and alerts, 1 click approvals from Slack, and advanced accounting integrations. Ramp enforces your expense policies so you can worry about what matters - like keeping your company afloat.

"I see no reason why we need Expensify anymore. Let's get rid of it NOW!"—Hunter, Director of Finance, Feelmore Labs

With Ramp, everything lives in one place. You can click into a vendor and see every transaction, invoice, and contract. That didn’t exist in Zip. It’s made approvals much faster because decision-makers aren’t chasing down information—they have it all at their fingertips.

The ability to create flexible parameters, such as allowing bookings up to 25% above market rate, has been really good for us. Plus, having all the information within the same platform is really valuable.

More vendors are allowing for discounts now, because they’re seeing the quick payment. That started with Ramp—getting everyone paid on time. We’ll get a 1-2% discount for paying early. That doesn’t sound like a lot, but when you’re dealing with hundreds of millions of dollars, it does add up.

We’ve simplified our workflows while improving accuracy, and we are faster in closing with the help of automation. We could not have achieved this without the solutions Ramp brought to the table.

How Poshmark exceeded its free cash flow goals with Ramp

I was shocked at how easy it was to set up Ramp and get our end users to adopt it. Our prior procurement platform took six months to implement, and it was a lot of labor. Ramp was so easy it was almost scary.
