On Ramp, missing receipt reminders can be escalated automatically to managers, who then see and manage the overdue items for their direct reports.

How it works

• Admin initiation: Admins can configure receipt escalation rules in Ramp so that missing receipts automatically route to managers after the initial employee reminder.
• Manager dashboard: Managers receive notifications and can view outstanding receipt tasks for their team directly in Ramp.
• Bulk visibility: Instead of chasing employees individually, managers see all overdue receipts grouped by employee, making it easier to resolve them in batches.
• Continuous reminders: If receipts remain missing, Ramp continues to send reminders until they are uploaded and the task is closed.

Example: An employee has five transactions without receipts. After the initial employee reminders, the tasks are escalated to the manager. The manager can see all five items in their dashboard, request receipts from the employee, and confirm compliance without finance having to intervene directly.
