Top SaaS vendors on Ramp (August 2025)
Every month, Ramp processes billions of dollars in business expenses on its corporate card and bill pay platform. And every month, we rank the new vendors that customers are purchasing from for the first time to give you a glimpse into emerging market trends, companies on the rise, and much more.
We started August with a big story in the economics world: the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics revised its monthly jobs report sharply downward, showing businesses slowed hiring significantly over the summer. The updated report aligned closely with what we’ve been hearing from businesses, particularly regarding policy uncertainty and tariffs making long-term decisions like hiring more difficult.
So I was intrigued when I saw that Instawork, the temp worker platform, appeared on our list for the first time as a trending vendor in new spend. Could businesses, hesitant to hire full-time employees, be using temporary workers to fill roles?
Official government statistics say no. The number of Americans employed by temporary help services has fallen over the last three months, continuing a decline from a post-pandemic high during the labor shortages of 2022. Decreased immigration may also be contributing to the decline, but it’s hard to say how much since it’s the continuation of an existing trend. And the total number of employed persons continues to rise. So Instawork’s appearance on our list may not be a sign of larger economic trends.

Let us know if you have any interesting business applications for “spicy mode.”
- Statsig last appeared on our list in April. Since then, they’ve raised a Series C at a $1.1B valuation. Statsig’s experimentation platform helps teams test new product features with more advanced statistical methods than those offered by comparable tools.
