Professionally managed portfolios, without the complexity.

Right now, billions in corporate cash earn a fraction of what they could.

The problem? Every option to put that cash to work comes with a compromise.

  • Build T-bill ladders and spend hours tracking maturities and reinvesting.
  • Park it in a money market fund and accept a capped return.
  • Work with an asset manager: weeks of onboarding and 15-60 bps fees.
  • Or leave it in a checking account and earn close to nothing.

These tradeoffs existed because professional portfolio management was too complex, too expensive and built for large enterprises. Now it takes minutes to set up on Ramp.

Diversified portfolios, fully automated

The new Investment Account¹ automatically builds and manages a fixed-income portfolio, based on a business's risk profile.

Companies just choose a preferred strategy and allocation, ranging from highly liquid money market funds and treasuries to a diversified mix of investment-grade corporates. Everything else is automatic: reinvestment, rebalancing, and optimization.

The result is a diversified portfolio with up to 4.16% YTM², meaningfully higher than individual money market funds.

For a company with $10M in reserves, even 50 basis points of additional yield is $50,000 per year. A difference that can fund a full-time contractor, billions of AI tokens, or an extra month of runway.

Institutional fixed-income. Live in minutes

Getting institutional-grade fixed income used to mean weeks of paperwork to onboard and a $250K minimum to start. Need your money back? Call your advisor, then wait two to five business days.

The Investment Account¹ delivers the same benefits, but with full visibility and no friction. Setup is done right from the Ramp dashboard, and portfolios are professionally managed from there.

The Investment Account was so straightforward to set up, I had to make sure I wasn't missing something. One minute, and it's been on autopilot since — I don't spend any time managing it. It's like moving from an old car to a self-driving Waymo.

Neusha Sayadian, Chief Financial Officer at Valence

How it works

1. The Investment Account¹ is built around two allocations. You just have to pick two strategies based on your preferences and risk profile:

  • Short-term: Operating cash for near-term spending needs. Invested in money market funds, with up to same-day3 access.
  • Long-term: Strategic cash that is not needed right away. Invested across Treasuries, investment-grade corporates, and/or CDs based on strategy selection, with full access within two business days.

2. Set a short-term cash target to define how funds are split between the two allocations.

3. Let it run. The portfolio maintains the target split automatically as balances change. Reinvestment, optimization, and rebalancing happen in the background.

When bills come due, funds return to the Ramp Checking Account*. No lockups, no manual wires, no phone calls.

Strategies invest in securities rated investment-grade at time of purchase. Securities held at Apex Clearing Corporation are covered by SIPC up to $500,000 (including $250,000 for cash claims) in the event of broker-dealer failure.4
