Every month, billions of dollars get processed on Ramp cards for business expenses. And every month, we share the new vendors that customers are purchasing for the first time, to give you a glimpse into emerging market trends, companies on the rise, and much more.
Last month, over 12,000 businesses on Ramp transacted with a new software vendor. While many of the vendors from July reappeared, two new names surfaced: GoDaddy and LinkedIn.
Four things struck me:
- Every company is now an AI company: Nearly all the vendors on our lists are touting their AI functionality, even those you don’t necessarily think of as AI-first. GoDaddy, for example, is pushing its customers to “build a website at the speed of AI.”
- GoDaddy: Speaking of the domain registrar, this month, it knocked Squarespace off the list of top vendors by new customer count. Squarespace previously led the list in June and July after acquiring Google Domains last year and migrating customers in recent months. Some companies moving off Google Domains might have been drawn to GoDaddy’s lower pricing.
- Canva: Keep an eye on the design platform's market share. Over the past few weeks, Canva has been rolling out substantial price increases as a result of its new AI features. Will Canva users accept the price hikes, or will we see movement to new design tools?
- LinkedIn: The platform is a must-have lead-generation tool. Its reappearance on the list, with HubSpot’s and ZoomInfo’s top positions, suggests companies are continuing to push hard on their prospecting efforts.
We’ll be back next month with new data.
