Introducing Punchouts: Buy 4x faster from suppliers.

An employee needs printer paper, pens, and other office supplies. They find what they need on a supplier website in minutes. But following the company’s purchasing policy can cause delays: re-entering every item in a request form, answering follow-up questions over email, and waiting for approvals. A simple order becomes a slow, error-prone process.

Buying at work shouldn’t mean choosing between a buying experience employees know and the controls Finance needs. The two should work together.

With Punchouts, employees shop directly on connected supplier websites such as Amazon Business, CDW, McMaster-Carr, and Global Industrial, then automatically send their carts back to Ramp as pre-filled purchase requests—no manual re-entry required.

The result: employees buy from suppliers up to 4× faster,* while Finance ensures every purchase is approved and auditable in Ramp.

Here’s how.

Employees just build a cart. Ramp automates the rest.

When employees are ready to make a purchase, they start a request in Ramp and select a connected supplier catalog. They shop directly on the supplier’s site, using the familiar experience they already know with their negotiated rates.

When they’re ready, their cart returns to Ramp as a complete purchase request, with item details, quantities, pricing, and coding pre-filled. Employees no longer need to rebuild carts in separate intake forms, and Finance receives complete, accurate requests that get approved faster.

Clear purchasing records. From request to shipment.

Once the request is approved, Ramp automatically generates a purchase order and sends it to the supplier for shipment. All stakeholders have visibility into the order status and shipping details, alongside the original request and approval history—creating one clear record for every purchase decision.

Bring all your purchasing into one workflow

Employees get a faster, more familiar buying experience—while Finance gets the control and visibility they need to keep the business moving.

Punchouts is now available in early access for Ramp Procurement customers. Connect Amazon Business, CDW, McMaster-Carr, and Global Industrial today. We’ll continue expanding the supplier catalogs available so your employees can automate purchasing from more of the suppliers they already use.

Invoices, cards, tokens. The categories change but the principle doesn't: know where the money is going, remove the work around it, and make sure the spend is worth it.

Most banks treat the back office as a cost to keep down. We treat ours as a return to compound, which is why we run it on Ramp. Now we put our clients on Ramp, too.

We used to pay up to $20k a year for our AP platform. With Ramp, we’re earning back well over that amount. That's money that belongs to the mission now, not to the back-office software.
