How Multiverse, Fyxer and Attio are getting time back in finance with Ramp

- Multiverse: Saving time with AI while keeping control
- Fyxer: The customer who came back
- Attio: Less time lost to admin
- Where is your team’s time going?

Ramp is now live in the UK. We’re helping finance teams support a growing business without more of their day disappearing into admin, bringing company cards, expenses and supplier payments together with spending controls and accounting integrations.
I sat down with the teams at Multiverse, Fyxer, and Attio to hear what had changed since they started using Ramp.
What struck me was how much of the working day can go into keeping finance running. I wanted to understand what these teams could finally turn their attention to once some of that work was off their plate. Their experiences say a lot about where a finance team’s time goes—and how much of that work actually needs them.
Multiverse: Saving time with AI while keeping control
Multiverse helps companies build AI, data and technology skills through apprenticeships. Its own finance team was spending time reviewing and coding transactions, managing approvals and working through spreadsheets.
Brandon Law, Senior Finance Manager at Multiverse, described how Ramp’s Policy Agent helps with expense review. It handles routine reviews against company policy and flags uncertain cases for a person to assess.
What stood out to me was the relationship between saving time and managing risk. Handing work to an AI agent is only useful if the team can trust how that work gets handled including when the answer isn’t clear.
“That feedback loop with the AI policy agent has been awesome in terms of saving time, but also managing risk in the right way.”
— Brandon Law, Senior Finance Manager at Multiverse
There’s a practical question here for anyone considering AI in finance: which decisions will still need a person to review them?
That deserves as much attention as the list of tasks an agent can complete. Clear exceptions give finance a reason to step in. Routine expenses that meet policy can move forward without demanding the same attention.
Brandon’s account makes the benefit tangible, which is less time on routine review, with a way to stay involved in the decisions that need judgement.
Fyxer: The customer who came back

Fyxer is expanding from an email assistant to an AI assistant that helps you keep track of what matters across every conversation at work.
The company first used Ramp while operating in the US. When it moved back to the UK, it had to switch providers. We weren’t available here yet.
It’s a frustrating reason to lose a customer. It also made Fyxer’s return particularly satisfying.
By then, the business had grown substantially. On its first month-end close back with Ramp, the finance team finished 4 days earlier – a 40% reduction in the time taken.
Richard Hollingsworth, CEO and Co-Founder at Fyxer, told me how Tim, the company’s CFO, reacted:
“I’ve never seen him excited about spending money on a software tool. He has never been more effusive about a product than Ramp because it helped him close his month out faster.”
— Richard Hollingsworth, CEO and Co-Founder at Fyxer
That’s quite an endorsement from the person responsible for questioning what the company spends.
What I take from it is how much a close can occupy a finance team. Receipts, coding and approvals left unresolved during the month all become work that has to happen before the numbers are ready. Keeping that work moving reduces the clean-up.
For Fyxer, the result was 4 days. In a fast-growing business, that’s a meaningful amount of time to get back. Finance can spend it using the numbers, while the rest of the company gets answers sooner.
Attio: Less time lost to admin

Attio is building an agentic CRM. Behind it, a finance team of 3 supports roughly 160 employees across several countries.
Roberto Restrepo, Attio’s Head of Finance, described tools that hadn’t grown together. They didn’t communicate with each other, leaving his team to make up the difference.
I think it’s easy to underestimate how much work falls between the tools. Each might do its own job, but someone in finance still has to move information across and check it all adds up. When there are only 2 of you, that’s a lot of your day accounted for.
Attio brought those workflows together through Ramp, automating work and completing the migration in less than a week.
“It’s totally changed how I spend my time.”
— Roberto Restrepo, Head of Finance at Attio
I was struck by how quickly they switched. When only 2 people run finance, finding time to change systems is a challenge in itself. Attio was up and running in less than a week, and Roberto’s description of his day tells you why it was worth doing. Supporting a growing business gets easier when less of your attention goes into keeping its systems talking to each other.
Where is your team’s time going?
These teams found time in different places. Multiverse reduced routine expense review while keeping finance involved in exceptions. Fyxer took 4 days off its first close. Attio reduced the work between systems.
What I take from these conversations is that “finance admin” deserves a closer look. The phrase covers a lot of work that can quietly become accepted as part of the job.
Where is the time actually going? Moving information between systems? Chasing receipts at month-end? Reviewing expenses that clearly meet policy?
Those are useful questions to start with. They help identify where Ramp can give your team time back – and where their attention is most valuable.
Thanks to Roberto, Richard, and Brandon for making time for coffee and sharing a little of what goes on behind the scenes.
You can now use Ramp in the UK, and we’d love to show you what it could do for your team. Let’s talk.

“Invoices, cards, tokens. The categories change but the principle doesn't: know where the money is going, remove the work around it, and make sure the spend is worth it.”

“There's just no surprises anymore. No more waiting two months to find out how a job did. We know how it's doing as it's happening.”

“More token spend isn’t proof that AI is working. Less isn’t proof that it isn’t. What matters is whether we’re buying the right level of intelligence for the work. Ramp lets us make that judgment in the same place we manage every other type of spend.”
Cody Nutt
Senior Director of Business Systems, Daxko

“Most banks treat the back office as a cost to keep down. We treat ours as a return to compound, which is why we run it on Ramp. Now we put our clients on Ramp, too.”
Patrick Gaughen

“Browserbase builds infrastructure so AI agents can do real work. Ramp is doing the same for finance. It’s not another tool. It’s a system purpose-built for AI-driven finance, and that’s why we chose Ramp as our financial operating system from day one.”

“We used to pay up to $20k a year for our AP platform. With Ramp, we’re earning back well over that amount. That's money that belongs to the mission now, not to the back-office software.”

“The tricky thing about corporate travel policy is timing. We didn't need a stricter policy. We needed the policy to show up earlier. With Ramp Travel, it finally does.”

“We're accountable to our funders, our partners, and the families we serve. That accountability starts with how we manage every dollar. Ramp makes it easy for our team to spend wisely, track in real time, and keep overhead low so more resources reach the families navigating infertility.”
