Introducing the 2026–2027 Accounting Partner Advisory Board
Accounting firms see the decisions behind the numbers. They help clients navigate change, plan for growth, and build stronger businesses. As Ramp continues to grow into a platform firms use to advise their clients, our ambition is to give those advisors a clearer view of financial activity and more ways to turn insight into action.
We want to build that future with the people doing this work every day. Ramp’s 2026–2027 Accounting Partner Advisory Board brings together 14 leaders across client accounting services, firm operations, technology, and financial advisory, from national firms to independent practices. Their experience will help shape how Ramp serves firms and their clients as their needs evolve, while giving members a place to learn from one another and share what works.
We asked the members what drew them to the board and what they hope to contribute or learn:
- What motivated you to join Ramp’s advisory board?
- What are you hoping to contribute to the board — or learn from others?
Meet the people behind those perspectives, in their own words.

Wesley Wahlberg, CAAS Technology Director, CLA
We’re joined by Wesley from CLA, a professional services firm offering accounting, tax, consulting, outsourcing, and wealth advisory services.
What motivated you to join Ramp’s advisory board?
I’m excited about the opportunity to meet product leaders and help influence Ramp’s roadmap for the betterment of both Ramp and the accounting community.
What are you hoping to contribute to the board or learn from others?
I’m hoping to provide expertise that will help Ramp continue to become a trusted solution for other accounting firm leaders, ensuring that it’s a fit for large and small firms alike to recommend to their client base. I also hope to help ensure Ramp stays true to its core of providing best-in-class services.
Emily Cheshire, Partner, Client Accounting & Advisory Services, Aprio
We welcome Emily from Aprio, a business advisory, tax, and accounting firm.
What motivated you to join Ramp’s advisory board?
Ramp has become central to how founders manage spend, cash and more. I was keen to be part of how the product evolves for advisory firms, and our clients as well as network with other leaders in the industry.
What are you hoping to contribute to the board or learn from others?
As a larger firm managing teams across the full client lifecycle, from startup through IPO, I'm bringing that scale perspective to the board, and hoping to learn how other members are navigating the changing technology landscape and team development.
Hannah McDaniels, Senior Manager & Lead Accounting Technology Consultant, GRF CPAs & Advisors
We welcome Hannah from GRF CPAs & Advisors, an independent public accounting and advisory firm.
What motivated you to join Ramp’s advisory board?
I joined Ramp's Accounting Partner Advisory Board because I'm passionate about finding better ways for accounting teams to work. As someone who spends most of my time helping clients improve their accounting operations and processes, I value the opportunity to provide direct feedback, learn from other advisors, and help influence the future of a product that is driving meaningful change in the profession
What are you hoping to contribute to the board or learn from others?
I hope to contribute a perspective that combines hands-on accounting experience with leading accounting technology initiatives. Throughout my career, I've worked in nearly every role, from intern to senior manager, which has given me firsthand insight into how accounting processes and systems impact team members at every level. Today, I work closely with clients on both day-to-day accounting operations and technology transformation efforts, allowing me to bridge the gap between practical accounting needs and innovative solutions. I'm excited to share those experiences while also learning from other board members about the challenges, opportunities, and emerging trends shaping the future of the profession.
K.C. Eames, Director of CAS Operations, Dark Horse CPAs
We’re joined by K.C. from Dark Horse CPAs, a tax and accounting firm serving small businesses and individuals.
What motivated you to join Ramp’s advisory board?
I really enjoy being close to the people building the tools we use every day. I’ve had the chance to work with a number of technology partners over the years, and I love being able to share what we’re seeing on the ground, where things are working, and where they’re breaking down - and being part of the solution and the builds.
Ramp is becoming a bigger part of how we think about our CAS stack, so I’m excited about having a voice in where the product goes and learning more about what Ramp is trying to solve for firms like ours.
What are you hoping to contribute to the board or learn from others?
I think I can bring a practical operations perspective. I spend a lot of time thinking about adoption, workflows, controls, consistency, and how you actually roll technology out across a firm where every team and every client works a little differently.
I’m also excited to learn from other firms. I love hearing how other people solve the same problems because it usually challenges some assumption I’ve made about how things “have to” work.
Brooke Vance, Senior Manager, Forvis Mazars LLP
We welcome Brooke from Forvis Mazars, which provides assurance, tax, and consulting services.
What motivated you to join Ramp’s advisory board?
I see this as a great opportunity to help an already great software become even better. For more than 20 years, I’ve helped businesses improve their accounting operations by evaluating systems and finding better ways to work. I’m excited to bring that experience to the board and share what I’ve learned about where software can make a meaningful difference for accounting teams and their clients.
What are you hoping to contribute to the board or learn from others?
I hope to contribute a practical perspective on overall efficiency and learn about the use cases other board members are seeing across their firms and clients.
Ryan McGrady, Vice President, CFO and Controllership Advisory, Exbo Group
We’re joined by Ryan from Exbo Group, which provides finance support to growth-stage and lower-middle-market companies.
What motivated you to join Ramp’s advisory board?
I joined Ramp’s Accounting Partner Advisory Board because my work at Exbo gives me a broad perspective on how finance teams operate and evolve as companies scale. I advise companies ranging from pre-revenue through $200M+ in revenue across multiple industries, often supporting them from early stage through exit. That experience gives me a firsthand view of where finance processes break down as companies grow and where technology can make a meaningful difference. I’m particularly interested in how automation and AI can streamline the month-end close and how Ramp can continue bringing its growing suite of features together into a truly end-to-end solution for finance teams.
What are you hoping to contribute to the board or learn from others?
I’d hope to bring a practical perspective on how companies are actually using Ramp as they grow, including what features they adopt, what becomes part of their day to day processes, and how their needs change from early stage through exit. I’d also like to learn from other members about how they’re using Ramp in their own practices with clients, what they’re seeing work well, and how they’re incorporating AI into finance workflows as the technology and broader finance landscape continue to evolve.
Jack Allen, Cofounder & COO, Ballast Consulting Group
We welcome Jack from Ballast Consulting Group, which provides controller, financial planning, and CFO support to small businesses.
What motivated you to join Ramp’s advisory board?
Our firm has been a strong supporter of Ramp as a platform. I'm excited to help Ramp shape the next era of tools to support firms like us, and surround myself with technology-forward peers in the accounting and finance advisory space.
What are you hoping to contribute to the board or learn from others?
I'm hoping to contribute perspective of a firm-runner who has a lower-volume, but higher-ACV client-base. I think the way we manage client engagements may look different than firms with larger counts of smaller bookkeeping engagements, and that perspective might help shape Ramp's delivery.
Dana Jones, Director, Business Transformation, CBIZ, Inc.
We’re joined by Dana from CBIZ, a professional services firm with accounting, tax, and advisory offerings.
What motivated you to join Ramp’s advisory board?
Ramp has consistently been the easiest and best vendor I've worked with, and they've stayed ahead of the field in a way that gives me real confidence in where they're headed. Joining the Advisory Board is a chance to get behind the curtain — to work more closely with the product team, understand what's coming next, and have a hand in shaping it. It's an exciting time for Ramp, and I wanted to be part of that conversation early.
What are you hoping to contribute to the board or learn from others?
I'm most excited about the peer collaboration this council offers — comparing notes with firms of all sizes and hearing how each approaches the same challenges differently. What I bring is the large-firm, admin-side perspective: how features play out when you're standardizing across many offices and users at scale. Pooling that alongside what medium and small firms see gives Ramp's developers a fuller picture of how new features actually land across different firm sizes.
Anthony (AJ) Zepeda, COO, Maverick
We welcome AJ from Maverick, which combines accounting technology with tax, payroll, and advisory services for small businesses.
What motivated you to join Ramp’s advisory board?
I joined Ramp’s advisory board because I want to help bring better financial tools to small businesses. They deserve the same attention and innovation as larger companies. I work closely with small business owners, and I’m excited to bring their everyday needs into the conversation.
What are you hoping to contribute to the board or learn from others?
I want to learn how other firms have scaled and how they use Ramp’s products to help their clients grow. I’ll share what we’ve learned through our accounting, payroll, and advisory work with small businesses, and take practical ideas back to the clients we serve.
Roman Villard, Founder, Full Send
We’re joined by Roman from Full Send, which brings accounting, tax, finance, data, and automation together for growing companies.
What motivated you to join Ramp’s advisory board?
Ramp is a great example of a company that takes feedback seriously and builds great products with it. Ramp moves fast enough that feedback provided actually changes something meaningful for many users.
What are you hoping to contribute to the board or learn from others?
Most product feedback in this space comes from accountants describing what they wish existed. I tend to think more in the space of 'what did we have to build in order to accommodate for products that don't fully meet our clients' needs. Excited to push the boundaries of what a partnership with a company like Ramp can look like.
Patrick Arnold, Senior Manager, Elliott Davis
We welcome Patrick from Elliott Davis, a firm offering tax, assurance, and consulting services.
What motivated you to join Ramp’s advisory board?
I joined Ramp’s advisory board because I see an opportunity to help solve problems finance teams have faced for years. In my work with dental and medical organizations, better data, a faster month-end close, and clearer reporting can make a real difference in the decisions leaders make. I want to bring that perspective to the tools Ramp is building.
What are you hoping to contribute to the board or learn from others?
I hope to collaborate with the other board members to provide Ramp clarity and/or confirmation in their next steps to provide solutions to problems finance teams have been facing for years.
Chris Mossa, CEO, Graphite Financial
We’re joined by Chris from Graphite Financial, which provides outsourced accounting, finance, tax, payroll, and HR services for VC-backed startups.
What motivated you to join Ramp’s advisory board?
We're one of the earliest firms to deploy Ramp Stack at scale, and that experience has shaped how I think about this space: agentic AI layered on top of the accounting stack isn't just an efficiency play, it's positioned to transform how firms like ours deliver services. I wanted to bring a founder's and CEO's view of what it actually takes to run AI-led tech enablement across a multi-client platform.
What are you hoping to contribute to the board or learn from others?
I want to contribute a platform-economics and service-delivery lens — how services wrapped around good tech unlock growth for both the firm and Ramp. I'm hoping to learn from other firm leaders facing the same platform-consolidation and AI-adoption questions, and get early visibility into Ramp's roadmap.
Robinson Aquino, CEO, JBS Corp
We welcome Robinson from JBS Corp, a tax firm serving individuals, families, and growing businesses.
What motivated you to join Ramp’s advisory board?
I joined Ramp's Accounting Partner Advisory Board because of where the industry is heading. For most small and middle-market businesses, financial intelligence isn't delayed. It's missing entirely. These companies can't afford the strong accounting and finance teams that larger, more established companies take for granted. That gap is the real problem.
Automation and AI change that. They give growing companies, especially those under $50 million in revenue, access to something almost every successful company has and almost no growing company does: real financial intelligence, delivered directly to the people who need to act on it.
Ramp is ahead of the curve on this. Most companies talk about delivering technology at scale. Ramp actually does it.
What are you hoping to contribute to the board or learn from others?
What I want to contribute is a practitioner's view of what's actually happening on the ground at small and middle-market firms. A lot of conversations about the future of accounting happen at a level above where most businesses live. I run a firm that serves thousands of clients directly, so I can bring real data on what's working and what isn't when you try to modernize how accounting gets delivered.
More broadly, I want to help elevate the profession itself. Accounting has an image problem. Too many people still see it as compliance and paperwork, not as a strategic function that can change outcomes for a business. Part of my work, through the firm, the book, and the newsletter, has been showing small business owners what real financial intelligence looks like and why it matters. I want to bring that same push to the board: how do we make the profession more attractive, more strategic, and more valuable, not just more efficient.
What I hope to learn is how other members are solving the same problems in different markets and using varying approaches. I want to see how firms and platforms are thinking about automation, talent, and client experience, and bring those lessons back to my own firm and to the broader small business market we serve.
Russell Lange, Co-Founder, Howard
We’re joined by Russell from Howard, which provides accounting, treasury, and financial planning support for growing businesses.
What motivated you to join Ramp’s advisory board?
I joined Ramp’s Accounting Partner Advisory Board because I’m deeply interested in how technology can reshape accounting and finance operations. At Howard, we sit at the intersection of operators, finance, and software, so the opportunity to share what we’re seeing in the field and help influence products that make finance teams more efficient was especially compelling.
What are you hoping to contribute to the board or learn from others?
I’m hoping to contribute a forward-looking operator’s perspective on where accounting and finance are headed. We’re in a period of rapid change across technology, automation, and the role of the finance function, and I want to help shape where the puck is going, not just react to it. I’m equally excited to learn from other firms and stay close to the leading edge of how the industry is evolving.

“I assumed I would have to choose between speed and control. What I found is that you can have both. A well-designed system takes friction out, for the finance function and for everyone else.”
Justin Webster
CFO, Denver Broncos

“A well-run district should not have to choose between getting work done at the school site and keeping control of the dollars behind it. We're not hiring more people to do more jobs, so we have to be smarter about the process. With Ramp, the purchase, the receipt, and the record stay together from the start. ”
Nick Brizeno
Director of Purchasing, San Marcos Unified School District

“AI is moving faster than the finance context around it. Prices change, models change, and the value is not always obvious from an invoice. We needed enough detail to know which bets deserved more investment — and which ones did not.”
Greg Cooley
Controller, AngelList

“Invoices, cards, tokens. The categories change but the principle doesn't: know where the money is going, remove the work around it, and make sure the spend is worth it.”
Maciej Mylik. Finance
ElevenLabs

“There's just no surprises anymore. No more waiting two months to find out how a job did. We know how it's doing as it's happening.”
Erich Kuss
Financial Systems Manager, Infinity Home Services

“More token spend isn’t proof that AI is working. Less isn’t proof that it isn’t. What matters is whether we’re buying the right level of intelligence for the work. Ramp lets us make that judgment in the same place we manage every other type of spend.”
Cody Nutt
Senior Director of Business Systems, Daxko

“Most banks treat the back office as a cost to keep down. We treat ours as a return to compound, which is why we run it on Ramp. Now we put our clients on Ramp, too.”
Patrick Gaughen
President & COO, Hingham Institution for Savings

“Browserbase builds infrastructure so AI agents can do real work. Ramp is doing the same for finance. It’s not another tool. It’s a system purpose-built for AI-driven finance, and that’s why we chose Ramp as our financial operating system from day one.”
Paul Klein IV
Founder & CEO, Browserbase
