Finance teams deserve exceptional tools. The work they do is hard, high-stakes, and rarely celebrated. The tools they use should be delightful, intuitive, and a pleasure to use. That's the bar we've been pushing toward at Ramp since day one — design to build memorable experiences, AI to handle the work on behalf of customers. At Ramp, we measure and celebrate less time spent on our product; a minute someone spends on Ramp is a minute they're not doing their actual work.
That's why I'm excited to share that Midday is joining Ramp. Midday is an open-source business management platform — time tracking, invoicing, and financial insights with over 14,000 GitHub stars. It serves a community of operators and builders who chose it for the same reason our customers choose Ramp: it lets them run their business finances with minimal effort.
Midday is one of the most thoughtfully designed products in modern financial software, built by a two-person team in public. Pontus Abrahamsson and Viktor Hofte, the co-founders of Midday, are joining Ramp to bring that same craft to the product our 50,000+ customers use every day.
We've admired Midday's work for years. The way they build, the speed at which they ship, the quality of their design, the simplicity of their UX — it's been a source of inspiration, and proof that we're very aligned as builders. Bringing Midday into Ramp accelerates everything we've been pushing on: the AI-native foundation, the design bar, and the conviction that the best financial software gets out of your way.
For Midday's customers and community
Midday was built for independent operators who wanted their finances to feel as well-designed as the rest of their stack. This is the same conviction we bring to every one of our customers at Ramp.
Existing Midday customers: soon there will be a personalized migration path to Ramp for those who are interested and qualify. Our team is here to support. If you're not interested or Ramp is not a good fit, your Midday account will stay active for 90 days. During that time, you will be able to export all your data. Pontus and Viktor are sharing more on what's next for the product, the open-source repo, and the community directly on midday.ai.
To everyone who contributed, deployed, or built on Midday: thank you. The entire Ramp team is grateful for your work, and Pontus and Viktor are bringing that ethos to Ramp. If you want to come build alongside them: ramp.com/careers.

“We used to pay up to $20k a year for our AP platform. With Ramp, we’re earning back well over that amount. That's money that belongs to the mission now, not to the back-office software.”
Heidi Coffer
Chief Financial Officer, Boys & Girls Clubs of San Francisco

“We're accountable to our funders, our partners, and the families we serve. That accountability starts with how we manage every dollar. Ramp makes it easy for our team to spend wisely, track in real time, and keep overhead low so more resources reach the families navigating infertility.”
Rachel Fruchtman
CFO, Jewish Fertility Foundation

“Each member of our team has an outsized impact due to our focus on using high-leverage tools like Ramp.”
Lauren Feeney
Controller, Perplexity

“With Ramp, we haven’t had to add accounting headcount to keep up with growth. The biggest takeaway is that instead of hiring our way through it, we fixed the workflow so we can keep supporting the organization as we scale.”
Melissa M.
VP of Accounting at Brandt Information Services

“In the public sector, every hour and every dollar belongs to the taxpayer. We can't afford to waste either. Ramp ensures we don't.”
Carly Ching
Finance Specialist, City of Ketchum

“Compared to our previous vendor, Ramp gave us true transaction-level granularity, making it possible for me to audit thousands of transactions in record time.”
Lisa Norris
Director of Compliance & Privacy Officer, ABB Optical

“We chose Ramp because it replaced several disparate tools with one platform our teams actually use—if it’s not in Ramp, it’s not getting paid.”
Michael Bohn
Head of Business Operations, Foursquare

“Ramp gives us one structured intake, one set of guardrails, and clean data end‑to‑end— that’s how we save 20 hours/month and buy back days at close.”
