New on Ramp: August edition

Ramp’s August release helps finance teams reduce busywork and stay in control without sacrificing speed. From SMS-based policy answers to auto-batched bill payments, every update is built to help busy professionals move faster with fewer mistakes.

Here’s what’s New on Ramp in August:

Answer expense questions via SMS

Employees often have quick expense tasks: uploading receipts, checking fund balances, or asking if a purchase is in policy. They can now text Ramp to:

  • Ask expense-related questions via text and get immediate responses based on your company’s custom policies.
  • Ask about recent transactions or fund balances.
  • Upload receipts via text and get them auto-matched.
  • Add memos in plain language—Ramp will extract and apply the right info.

Ramp Agents are designed to be conversational, fast, and always up to date. That means fewer pings to finance and more confident decisions at the point of spend.

Automate transfers between cash and investment accounts

Ramp now supports automated transfers between your business and investment accounts. Choose the method that fits your cash strategy:

  • Target balance. Keep a minimum balance in your Business Account and move the rest to investments.

All bookings stay within your travel policy and honor employees’ airline status and loyalty perks.

Hotel loyalty integration

Automate expense memos with recurring logic

Some expenses show up again and again. Why type out the memo every time?

Ramp learns from previous transactions tagged with the same merchant, expense group, or both, and auto-fills the memo field based on historical employee behavior.

Every memo comes pre-filled and aligned with past entries, making approvals faster and records cleaner for finance teams.

Batch vendor payments, automatically

Manually batching vendor bills wastes time. Skipping it racks up extra fees. Ramp now auto-combines approved bills with matching vendor details into one payment across SWIFT, ACH, and wires.

We’re here to give AP teams cleaner payment runs—all without sacrificing visibility or control.

DoorDash receipts, done automatically

Tired of chasing food delivery receipts? With Ramp’s new DoorDash integration, receipts from every work-related order are pulled in automatically and matched to the correct transaction.

No more forwarding emails—just complete records and cleaner books. Set your DoorDash integration up →

How Poshmark exceeded its free cash flow goals with Ramp

I was shocked at how easy it was to set up Ramp and get our end users to adopt it. Our prior procurement platform took six months to implement, and it was a lot of labor. Ramp was so easy it was almost scary.
