New on Ramp: May Edition

Source-to-pay shouldn't be a manual handoff between procurement, AP, and accounting. This month's updates put AI agents in charge of both halves:

  1. Vendor sourcing and intake
  2. Invoice processing and routing

Here's what's New on Ramp in May:

Automate sourcing, intake, compliance reviews, and renewals

This month, we launched the biggest upgrade to Procurement yet: a suite of AI agents and contract intelligence tools designed to run purchasing end-to-end – so you find the right vendors, make compliance automatic, and negotiate a better deal.

  • Source vendors and run RFPs through a single conversation
  • Pre-fill intake requests in plain English and flag policy violations before they reach an approver
  • Run security, legal, and vendor evaluations automatically in parallel
  • Track every contract and surface renewals with benchmarked pricing months ahead of deadline

Customers are saving 16% on vendor costs and 46 hours per month of manual procurement work.

Auto-fill invoices using your AP team's past corrections

Your AP team re-codes the same vendor's invoices the same way every month because standard OCR doesn't learn from their edits.
Smart OCR now:

  • Captures every correction your AP team makes (line items, GL codes, payment terms, dates, entity coding)
  • Applies those patterns to future invoices from the same vendor automatically
  • Takes plain-English instructions per vendor for anything the AI misses

Teams on Ramp process twice as many bills end-to-end with no manual touch.

Auto-classify forwarded email attachments into draft bills and supporting docs

Invoices, contracts, timesheets, and spam all land in the same forwarding inbox, and someone has to sort it by hand. Ramp now classifies every forwarded attachment automatically:

  • Invoices and vendor credits become draft bills
  • Contracts, SOWs, and timesheets attach to the matching invoice as supporting docs
  • Spam, duplicates, and irrelevant files get filtered out before they reach your team
  • Confirmation emails summarize what was processed, attached, and filtered, with reasons

All Bill Pay customers get access by May 28.

We used to pay up to $20k a year for our AP platform. With Ramp, we’re earning back well over that amount. That's money that belongs to the mission now, not to the back-office software.

With Ramp, we haven’t had to add accounting headcount to keep up with growth. The biggest takeaway is that instead of hiring our way through it, we fixed the workflow so we can keep supporting the organization as we scale.
